About Watkins Wright Great Ayton

Situated in the heart of the village, Watkins-Wright in Great Ayton opened in 1994. The Salon is run by a team of well trained, enthusiastic staff and has gone from strength to strength. The Team is proud to have been awarded the Watkins-Wright Salon Of The Year 2013, 2014, 2017 and 2018. The team are working as hard as ever to keep the title!

We offer all aspects of hairdressing from everyday hair to colours, smoothing systems and specialise in wedding hair.

Meet the Team!

Lucy (Manager)

Lucy has been part of the Watkins Wright team since 2010.

She's worked at our Thirsk and Great Ayton salons but is now permanently at Great Ayton and the Manager!

With over 10 years experience and a love of hairdressing from a young age.

Alice (Senior Stylist)

Alice joined the Watkins Wright Great Ayton team in January 2022.

With over 10 years experience and the love of all aspects of hairdressing, her favourites being Balayage, Curly Blowdries & Short Hair Cuts!

Stephanie (Stylist)

Stephanie has been part of Watkins Wright Great Ayton team since October 2012.

With passion for both Hairdressing and Beauty and having the opportunity to do both and run the Beauty in the new premises since 2018. The love for hair never stopped as it continued with wedding hair.

Returning from maternity leave in January 2023  the scissors will be coming back out! and no longer be doing beauty.

Bryony (Graduate Stylist)

Bryony has been part of the Watkins Wright team since September 2022.

I recently qualified April 2022, my main passion in hair is colouring and making the client feel pampered and comfortable.

I have always wanted to do hair dressing from a young age.

Debbie (Beauty Department)

Debbie @byou_beautygreataytonBeauty - joined the team in January 2022.

Debbie runs the Beauty department at both our Watkins Wright Great Ayton and Thirsk salons.

With over 18 years experience within the beauty industry.

Specialises in Gel and Sculptured Nails. Offering a wide range of treatments.

Beauty vouchers to be brought in the salon.

 

Watkins-Wright won two out of the three categories they were nominated for at the Yorkshire Salon Awards 2019 which was held at the Royal Armouries Hall in Leeds on 10th November. The business scooped up the "Best Salon for Training" and "Creative Image of the Year" awards.
